Lightsaber Dueling, Care & Charging Guide
Choose the right saber for your activity and follow the instructions supplied with that model. Lighting type alone does not determine impact resistance. Before contact practice, verify that both the hilt and the fitted blade are intended for the level of contact you plan to use.
Check the model's intended use
Read the product page and any purchase notices. A saber intended for collecting or cosplay should not be treated as a heavy-dueling tool. Neon Dagger and Arbiter are individually assembled independent-design products, and some small parts use 3D-printed material. These two models are for display, collecting and light handling, not heavy dueling.
When exploring our dueling collection, confirm the specific product's limitations. A Neopixel blade contains electronics; a Baselit configuration uses lighting in the hilt. Neither category provides a universal contact rating. Our core comparison guide explains this distinction.
Inspect before practice
- Check the blade, hilt and retention points for visible damage or looseness.
- Fit the correct blade diameter and connector for your model, following its instructions.
- Stop using a damaged blade or a product with loose parts and ask for technical support.
- Use appropriate protective equipment, a clear practice area and mutually agreed contact limits.
A product demonstration is not an instruction to repeat dangerous impact tests. Choreography, light sparring and heavy contact place different demands on equipment; choose a model suited to your actual activity.
Charging and battery care
Follow your model's charging instructions and use a suitable charging arrangement. Do not assume every saber accepts the same charger or battery because the connector looks similar. Check fit, polarity and specifications before purchasing a replacement battery. Stop use if the battery or charging components appear damaged, and contact support rather than attempting an unsupported modification.
Cleaning, transport and storage
Power the saber off before cleaning or changing parts. Keep electronics dry and follow the supplied cleaning instructions. Protect the blade and hilt during transport; check that any scabbard, stand or carrying accessory is compatible. Inspect the saber again after travel or practice, especially before the next contact session.
Get help with a fault
When contacting us, include your order details, the model and core, and a clear description or short video of the issue. These details help us distinguish a setting or connection problem from a damaged component. Lightsabers include an 18-month warranty and lifetime free online technical service, subject to the stated terms and exclusions. Review our 30-day return policy for return eligibility.
